This handmade Argentium Silver wire twist wrapped brown and white agate bead pendant is lovely! The wire is Argentium Silver, not silver colored wire. It has an 18 gauge twisted wire with a single looped bale. The bale opening is 5mm and will fit most finer to medium bulk thickness chains/cords. The hand polished agate bead is brown and white and semi-translucent. The colors may vary according your device screen. The overall width of the stone is 14mm at the widest point. Additional information on Argentium silver: Argentium Silver was invented by Master Silversmith, Peter Johns at Middlesex University, London. His initial research concentrated on eliminating firestain in traditional Sterling silver, using the element Germanium. Germanium was also found to add further benefits, including tarnish resistance and heat-hardening properties. Argentium is a sterling silver alloy that is 1% purer than traditional sterling at 93.5%. (Traditional sterling is 92.5% pure.)
