This handmade Argentium silver wire wrapped cabochon pendant is lovely! The frame of the pendant is 18 gauge square Argentium Silver wire. The stone is wrapped with 24 gauge wire. This is not silver colored or silver-filled wire. The bale is double looped. The bale opening is 4mm, so will need to go on a delicate chain/cord. Argentium silver is a metallic white/silver color. The cabochon on this pendant is rose quartz. It is pink in color. The colors may vary according your device screen. The overall width of the pendant is 20mm. Additional information on Argentium silver: Argentium Silver was invented by Master Silversmith, Peter Johns at Middlesex University, London. His initial research concentrated on eliminating firestain in traditional Sterling silver, using the element Germanium. Germanium was also found to add further benefits, including tarnish resistance and heat-hardening properties. Argentium is a sterling silver alloy that is 1% purer than traditional sterling at 93.5%. (Traditional sterling is 92.5% pure.)
